About Mimi
Mimi Thebo’s work explores the emotional landscapes of young people and their relationship with the natural world.
Her novels are widely studied in schools and known for their depth, empathy, and emotional honesty. Through her writing, she invites readers to step into challenging experiences and emerge with a deeper understanding of themselves and others.
Mimi has been nominated, long-listed and shortlisted for all the major prizes in writing for young people. Her books have been adapted for a BAFTA award-winning BBC film, translated into 12 languages and signed for young deaf ITV viewers.
Also an academic, Mimi leads Creative Writing at the University of Bristol.
